The Class of Challenge aims to help young people have the confidence, motivation and skills to achieve life as you define it!

The MyCAP “Class of Challenge” brings together students (now including 7-12th graders) with caring adults, including school counselors, teachers and administrators to begin their plans.

Why should I participate in the Challenge?

Thinking about your future plans will help you identify potential career pathways and open up new and exciting opportunities, like internships, summer expeditions, and volunteer or community programs.

How do I get started?

Your school counselors and teachers will help you every step of the way to complete the Class of Challenge. They will talk with you about your goals, concerns and potential plans for life after high school. Your parents and/or caregivers can also help you think about your future and complete your MyCAP experiences! Consider talking to them about how to find a mentor or another caring adult at school who can help you set goals, seek help when you may be struggling and follow through on your MyCAP experiences.

Learn more about your MyCAP experiences for 7th-12th grade below and at bostonpublicschools.org - but don’t forget that you can contact your school counselors and teachers for help!

Experience 1: My Personal Road Map

Reflect on your 9th-grade experience and consider the things that went well, and some goals you want to set for the upcoming school year. Get an understanding of your current GPA, explore the college and career programs available at your school and begin to chart a path forward for the year.
